About our Founders 

Ryan 

Born and raised in Hialeah, FL, he is a true Miamian. Trained in mechanical engineering and worked for 15 years in product development as a specialist/designer/engineer for medical devices in everything from large and small companies. Ryan always liked being hands-on with any project that he was assigned. Woodworking has allowed him to use the skills he has learned from engineering to create and solve problems. Ryan has the support of his wife and his son.

Jason

Born in Miami, FL, and raised in Ocala, FL, Jason returned to South Florida in middle school. Jason has worked in the medical device field for over 15 years, contributing to over 15 product launches and working as a quality engineer. Jason can fix damn near anything and likes to collect tools. Jason has the support of his wife and daughter.

Jason and Ryan have worked many years together and have found a rhythm in life reliant on their problem-solving skills. Both have an artistic side, and Madera Wood has allowed them to build something of their own while providing the service that they have come to expect of themselves and others. Understanding medical device quality and design work has helped them to flourish in this business. They put that kind of work ethic into every piece they design and make and are proud to have it made in South Florida, in the USA. They are always up for a good chat and love meeting new people, so don't be a stranger and send them a message about anything.

One of the most satisfying things as a woodworker is transforming hardwood from its natural, raw, rough-sawn state into something refined and beautiful.
